One Web Day – One Web. For All.

One Web Day is September 22, 2009. One Web Day celebrates that the Worldwide Web belongs to everyone. Built on a principle of openness and interconnection, every person and institution that goes online to connect and create experiences makes a contribution to the ever growing, evolving One Web that is transforming society.

This year, .ORG is a supporter of One Web Day’s goal of celebration, education, and activism for the future of the Web. We believe, as does One Web Day, that the Internet should be a free and open resource to users worldwide and the team at .ORG advocates for technology advancements and addresses policy and security issues every day to help make this happen.

With less than one week left before the main event, we encourage everyone to get involved and take part in a local event in your area. If you enjoy using the web in your everyday life, you can promote to your organization or community the value of celebrating “One Web. For All.”

There are many ways to get involved with this .ORG community member. We look forward to celebrating the power of the Internet with you!
