Brian Cute, CEO

Brian Cute - Chief Executive Officer

Brian assumed this leadership position as CEO of PIR in 2011, backed by more than 12 years of experience in the Internet and communications industry.

Prior to joining PIR, Mr. Cute served as vice president of discovery services for Afilias, the world’s leading provider of Internet infrastructure solutions that connect people to their data and registry systems provider to PIR for the .ORG domain.  His experience within the domain name system (DNS) runs deep, having had management positions in both a leading domain name registrar, Network Solutions, as director of policy, and a leading registry, Verisign, as vice president of government relations until 2003. He has led initiatives on wait-list service, private domain registrations, the elimination of Bulk WHOIS, and numerous other ICANN policy matters and has a keen interest in the development of the Internet of Things.

 Nancy Gofus - Chief Operating Officer

A long-time veteran of the telecommunications industry, Ms. Gofus oversees the marketing, sales, product and strategy functions. In her role as chief operating office, she aims to expand PIR’s global presence as well as develop and execute marketing strategies that further grow the .ORG domain in existing and new markets.

Currently, Ms. Gofus serves as board chair of the national board for Volunteers of America – a national non-profit dedicated to helping those in need live healthy, safe and productive lives.  Previously, Ms. Gofus’ served as senior vice president of global product management for Verizon Communications in 2009 and chief marketing officer at Verizon Business from 2006 to 2008.

Paul Diaz, Director of Policy

Paul Diaz - Director of Policy

Mr. Diaz brings nearly two decades of policy development and analysis experience to the PIR policy team. Prior to joining PIR, Mr. Diaz spent over 12 years as Senior Policy Manager for Network Solutions, where he led policy development and compliance initiatives that impacted the company’s corporate objectives as they related to new TLDs, ICANN consensus policies and industry regulations. During his tenure, Mr. Diaz was also instrumental in acting as the company’s voice of governmental advocacy through presenting various issues to Congress and Executive branch agencies.

David Maher, Sr VP of Law & Policy

David Maher - Senior Vice President, Law & Policy

Mr. Maher serves as the lead in advocating policies that support and strengthen the internet and the .ORG community. He brings over 40 years of experience in law and policy.  From 1999 until 2002, he served as vice president for public policy of the Internet Society. In 2002, he became a member of the founding board of .ORG and served as chairman until August 2004.

Lance Wolak - Vice President, Product & Strategy

Mr. Wolak joined the company in 2007 and serves as the lead for product development and strategy.  He has over 20 years of executive leadership in marketing, international business development, and product management.  Mr. Wolak is responsible for developing and sustaining PIR’s strategic initiatives and leading the development of new products and services.

Lawrence Martin, Dir of Finance & Admin

Lawrence C. Martin - Vice President, Finance & Operations

Mr. Martin is responsible for the .ORG finance department and reporting systems.  He has 20 years of experience in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. He is a certified public accountant and most recently the chief financial officer of the Center for Health Policy Studies, Inc.
