This week marks the first anniversary of possibly the most difficult time that I have ever experienced. My younger sister Tracy died on September 7, 2011, after having suffered a severe stroke two weeks before.
Tracy had a living will, so we knew what her wishes concerning treatment would have been if she had been able to communicate. We then made a decision that has had a lasting effect on me, to move Tracy to

We often throw around the term “bots” in our industry. Short for “robots,” it’s the common term for software programs that run automated tasks. In many cases, bots can be innocuous and even useful. The most common example of their benefit is that they are the first step in creating Internet search systems.
