Mr. Wolak joined the company in 2007 and serves as the lead for product development and strategy. He has over 20 years of executive leadership in marketing, international business development, and product management. Mr. Wolak is responsible for developing and sustaining PIR’s strategic initiatives and leading the development of new products and services. In his first year, Mr. Wolak as head of marketing oversaw the global re-branding of .ORG, and implemented the company’s annual brand research program. Adding product responsibility in 2008, he instituted a new product management process to oversee and manage complex technology launches. By June 2009, the company’s zone signing with DNSSEC (DNS Security Extension) was completed fault-free, with the new process having managed the phased assessments and risk mitigation – enabling .ORG to become the first open gTLD to sign its zone with DNSSEC. Throughout his tenure at the Public Interest Registry, he has been called on to share the programexperiences and best practices with the larger Internet community on topicssuch as the introduction of Top-Level Domains (TLDs), Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs), as well as Domain Name System Security Extension (DNSSEC).
Mr. Wolak is a leader and innovator with a passion to build products and services that enable business breakthroughs. In that time, his leadership, drive, and persistence have translated into award winning products and new sources of revenue. He has managed all aspects of global marketing operations and product management for a variety of technology enterprises, including TallyGenicom, Xerox Corporation, and Cimage Corporation.
